Coverage Options
Bodily Injury Liability: If someone suffers bodily injury, and you’re held responsible, this policy helps pay the damages, as well as any related legal defense and court costs.
Property Damage Liability: If someone’s property gets damaged, and you’re held responsible, this policy helps pay the damages, as well as any related legal defense and courts costs.
Property Damage Liability: If someone’s property gets damaged, and you’re held responsible, this policy helps pay the damages, as well as any related legal defense and courts costs.
Personal Injury/Medical Payments: This policy helps pay for reasonable and necessary medical and funeral expenses for those who are covered.
Collision: When your insured vehicle is damaged by collision with another object, look to this policy for help in covering the costs. Coverage is subject to a deductible. You can choose between limited, standard and broad form coverage. With limited and standard coverage, insurance pays everything other than the deductible if you are 50% or less at fault (for example, being rear-ended). With broad form coverage, you don’t have to pay the deductible.
Comprehensive: When your insured vehicle is destroyed or damaged due to a means other than collision or vehicle rollover, this policy steps in. Coverage may be subject to a deductible.
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists: Don’t let uninsured or underinsured motorists affect your financial well-being. This policy helps pay for injuries and possibly some property damage when you are involved in an accident with another person who is uninsured or does not have sufficient liability insurance.
Hired & Non-Owned Automobile: This policy covers liability expenses for accidents involving vehicles that your business uses for work purposes but doesn't own, lease, rent or have hired or borrowed. It includes employees’ and subcontractors’ autos that are used on behalf of your business.
Drive Other Car Coverage: Provides broadened coverage for named individuals in the event they need to drive a different vehicle that is not on your commercial auto policy. This is useful too when an employee drives an auto belonging to another person who has no coverage or limited coverage.
How much liability coverage is enough?
The more insurance you have, the more protected you are in the event you or an employee are involved in an accident. Those higher limits on your commercial auto insurance are invaluable at a time of need. We’ll help you come up with a reasonable limit that protects you—and your budget.
What amount of a covered loss do you feel comfortable paying?
This is a highly personal decision that we can help you work through. A deductible is the part of a covered loss that is your responsibility to pay. If, for instance, you had a $1,000 deductible, you would need to pay $1,000 of the covered loss. Deductibles apply to both collision and comprehensive coverages.
